Lavender essential oil is one of the most versatile oils!

I'm really excited to share with you the fantastic powers of one of my favorite essential oils! I'm sure that  you have been familiar with Lavender essential oil because of it’s calming and relaxing qualities.   There is so much this lil' oil can do.

Good Night Sleep
The most popular way to use Lavender is for a good night’s rest. Put it right on the bottoms of your feet, rub a few drops in your hands to inhale or add 4-6 drops to a diffuser.  I love to put it in a little glass spray bottle with water then add 5-10 drops of Lavender.  Spritz that on my pillow before bedtime. It smells wonderful and will have your in “dream land” in no time.  This helps me, my husband and kids get a restful night’s sleep so we can have a positive day.

Seasonal Threats
Lavender is a great addition to the seasonal threat BOMB.  Add 2 drops of Lavender essential oil, 2 drops of Peppermint essential oil and 2 drops of Lemon essential oil in a shot glass, add a splash of water, swish and swallow and that will help open airways, detox and help support your body when the seasons change.  My husband uses this remedy every Spring and Fall and it works like a charm.

Tension Tamer
Another great thing about Lavender essential oil is it helps relieve tension.  I use it after a work out to help calm and relax by adding some to the back of my neck or right on location.  I like to add a few drops to the bath to soothe away stress and unwind.

Soothes Skin
Lavender helps soothe minor skin irritations. When my kids have little scrapes, bumps or bruises they run to me saying “Mom, I need the Lavender essential oil.”  A few drops will help with a minor burn or bug bite as well.  So, not only does it help decrease discomfort but it also helps the skin recover quickly.

Owie Spray Recipe
In 2oz spray bottle:
10 drops Melaleuca
10 drops Frankincense
10 drops Lavender
~Fill the rest with Fractionated Coconut Oil
Spray on owies to soothe and support skin recovery

As you can see, It is the Swiss Army Knife of essential oils.  So many uses and a must have in any home. I can't wait for you to use it.

Cheers,
Natalie
