SunBurn Relief Spray

It's SUMMER!

This is one of my favorite times of the year.  It is a time to get together with friends, have people over for BBQs, picnics in the park and pool parties.  This is the season for many fun fruits and veggies to snack on and it’s also nice to get outside and soak in Vitamin D from the sun.

Unfortunately this is also the season where we might get too much sun.  This might cause redness & discomfort.  Fortunately, there are a handful of essential oils that can help support your skin and provide relief when you have been exposed to extra sun rays.

Here is a handy “Do It Yourself” sunburn relief spray.  It is 100% natural, non-toxic and is super inexpensive and easy to create.

​How do these oils help support skin?

Lavender ~ This is a universal oil that has been traditionally known to balance the body and work wherever there is a need.  It helps support the skin and can comfort skin irritations.  It can also help the skin mend and recover quicker.

Frankincense ~  Is the king of oils and promotes healthy cellular function and rejuvenates the skin. 

Melaleuca ~ AKA Tea Tree Oil, this oil is known for its cleansing and rejuvenating affects on the skin.  It also helps protect against seasonal and environmental threats.

Peppermint ~ This oil is cooling and relieves tension and skin discomfort.  

Fractionated Coconut Oil ~  Is a natural oil that helps promote healthy skin, moisturizes and protects.

I hope this blend helps you and your family this summer.   Stay well, stay hydrated and stay in the shade.  Some sun is GOOD for us but too much can turn a very FUN day into a not so fun week after.

Remember that whatever you put on your skin goes directly into your blood stream and can affect your body systems.  When in doubt, choose natural solutions and limit your toxic exposure.  Natural remedies and food from nature will keep you healthier and in turn, you will remain happy for many more years to come.

What Are You Waiting For?

Reaching Goals

We all have goals in life but put them off until the future when the kids are grown, we are healthier, happier, have more time, more knowledge, more money… yada yada yada..
I also struggle with these excuses.  I recently read something that really made me think...  If you say to yourself that you CAN’T/DON’T HAVE TIME to do something, it translates into the fact that you don’t WANT to do it.

Instead of Saying to Yourself:

I can’t work out today
I can’t make the meeting
I don’t have time do the laundry
I don’t have time to tidy my house
I can’t eat healthy
I don’t have time to cook
I don’t have time to read a self development book
I can’t get a job
I can’t meet new people
I don’t have time to study
There is no time in the day to get anything done

Try Saying:

I’m gonna work out/ go on a walk and take 30 minutes for me daily.
I will make time for the  meeting and help inspire others too
I’m gonna do a load of laundry a day
I will pick up and have my kids help too so that my home is tidy
I will take time to nourish my body daily
I love cooking healthy for myself and my family
I need to take 10 minutes a day to read something that will inspire me and feed my soul
I will get that job and do what it takes to make connections
Every day I run into people that I am meant to know
I will study my trade and get better every day
I will reprioritize my time, get off social media and make time for the important things in life

We all have the same exact 24 hours in a day and we get to choose what we do with that time.  Instead of complaining (which I used to do a lot of) I now think of ways to be better, more positive and productive.  Believe me, it is hard to get out of those old habits and I am working on making new ones daily.  It takes 30 days to make a new habit.  It will be worth it to get rid of the old habits! 

Slight Edge

A wonderful book that I am now reading is called the SLIGHT EDGE. This book is encouraging about making little decisions every day that can either have a positive or negative impact in our lives.  Give yourself that slight edge by reading 10 pages a day.  Your life will shift in such positive ways.What are you goals, what mark to you want to leave on this earth and WHAT are you waiting for?

Wayne Dyer once said, “Don’t die when there is still music playing inside of you.”

Don't get to the end of your life and WISH you would have done things differently.  I encourage you to reach your goals, step out of your comfort zone, make new habits and do the things you have always dreamt of.  You can do it.  I believe in you and I  believe you can.  Do you?
