there are 3 ways to use essential oils

Natalie Carson smelling essential oils from a diffuser

Aromatically

Our sense of smell is so powerful! When used aromatically, essential oils can have profound physiological and psychological effects on our emotions, memory and hormones through the olfactory and limbic systems of our brains.

Direct inhalation from the bottle, rubbing one drop between the palms and inhaling, or using a diffuser are some of the best methods to experience aromatic benefits.

Topically

Your skin is the largest organ on your body and using essential oils topically is one of the quickest way to get essential oils into the bloodstream and benefit localized areas too. They can also service every cell in you body within minutes! Apply to the bottoms of feet, pulse points, or on a targeted area!

It’s best to dilute with a carrier oil, especially for the hot oils! Hot oils that must be diluted: oregano, thyme, clove, cinnamon and cassia = My favorite carrier oils is Fractioned Coconut oil.

Internally

Not all essential oils are created equal or safe to use internally. I only recommend Certified Pure Tested Grade Essential Oils that are labeled for personal consumption with Supplement Facts guide on the bottle. Some essential oils have powerful antioxidant properties while others help support healthy inflammatory response in cells.

You can take one drop under the tongue, add to water, or to a veggie capsule for internal benefits. Just be sure to look for the Supplement Facts and expiration date on the bottom of the bottle. The oils I suggest have a 5-year shelf life and are free of contaminants, fillers and toxins.
